Community Updates

August 31, 2021

Dear Residents & Family Members:

Good News, we have not had any additional Covid-19 cases since the three reported in our last communication. We will be out of lockdown effective Friday, September 3rd, 2021. Residents will resume dining in the dining room that morning for breakfast and activities will resume as well. We will also open back up for indoor visitation that morning.

Our visitation has not changed, it is 8:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday thru Friday and 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday & Sunday. You must check in and record your temperature at the Front Desk before entering the building. We ask that you please be considerate of the visiting hour schedule as after these hours our staff is busy taking care of residents and it is difficult for them to have to man the front door. Be sure to wear a mask and go directly to the resident's apartment.

Covid-19 cases have continued to be on the increase in Silver Bow County. Even though most of our staff and residents have been vaccinated we are seeing break-through cases. We will continue to test staff and residents weekly. I ask that visitors refrain from visiting if they have any signs or symptoms or have been exposed to someone with Covid-19.

Sincerely,

Lauri Yelenich

Dear Residents & Family Members:

I wanted to take this time to update you to the present COVID-19 status of our community. We have continued our regimen of weekly testing and will be doing so for the foreseeable future. We have received notification from our testing that we had one resident in the main building as well as 2 residents in our cottages that have tested positive.

We are sad to report one of our beloved residents passed away this week. This is extremely difficult for all the staff and residents as our residents are part of our Big Sky Family. We ask that you keep this resident and the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I am working very closely with our State Epidemiologist office and our local Health Department to follow all necessary rules and regulations. During an outbreak CDC requires that we go 14 days form our last positive test, and no new additional cases before closing the outbreak. The last positive case was on 8/19/21. The 14-day period will end on 9/2/21 and on 9/3/21 we will be able to resume indoor visitation, communal dining and activities.

Our restrictions on communal dining and group activities will stay in place and our residents are required to stay in their rooms. Window visits are allowed at this time. Residents that don't have window access can make arrangements with the Front Desk for a window visit in the dining room or lobby. Family members may also call the Front Desk at 406-494-4900 to make an appointment. Visitation hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to
7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Family and visitors are still able to come to the Main Building Entrance to drop off supplies. The hours for Family members and friends to drop off any items to be delivered to the residents are Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to
7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

I have been in communication with Walgreens and will be working with them to provide resident's and staff with the booster vaccine as soon as it becomes available.

Our need to continue to be cautious has not abated. As before, please feel free to contact us with any questions, and we will update you with changes as they occur.

Sincerely,
